Following a week of intensive training given by our Sales Director, Neil Trinder, we received the following from Alison, Elaine & all in 46/47 at the hospital……….

“To Neil, A huge thank-you for all your hard work and effort this week. Also to your team for designing the [Legacy] bed. It will make a huge difference to the lives of our patients and staff.”

Focus of their attention  was our Legacy Turning Bed,  and over 2 days were taken through a concentrated training programme on its features and use, including a visit to Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield to observe Legacy in a real-time clinical environment.

Legacy is already attracting worldwide interest.

The OT telephoned us today to pass on the good news (and her thanks) because, having fitted the easyEX to the clients bed, her client was able to get out of bed completely unaided for the first time in many many months, so giving her back some all-important independence.

Another satisfied customer! Really good when a plan comes together – makes the job very worthwhile and satisfying.

Heavens above…..a sleeve of foam rubber – and we have to spend time researching and completing answers to numerous questions before we can sell an £8 product!

One of the questions is ‘Will software upgrades be notified?’ – does this refer to the foam or to a computer?!!

Ah hem, Rotherham one day, Reykjavik the next!

Whilst price was always an issue, here is a customer who placed quality of product and quality & consistency of service high on his wish list.

Nexus satisfied his requirements on all counts.

A Nexus Pro-Care bed was chosen for the i-house as an example of how an electronically controlled profiling bed can contribute to the care and well-being of a patient in their own home.

Some of the technology on display can contribute to safety by, for example, preventing sinks from overflowing or automatically shutting off gas valves. Other examples are are pressure or motion sensitive night lights to prevent falls.

The i-house featured in a television documentary over the Christmas period, highlighting how technology will be used increasingly in the future as aids in the care of people in the community.
